iCare – The Intelligent Player Care Program, a joint venture of the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation (SGC) and iView Systems

iCare Delivers Revolutionary New Responsible    Gaming Program

Program delivers prevention based problem gambling solution contributing to social responsibility, risk management and long term gaming sustainability

London, England, January 24, 2006 - iCare(tm) – the Intelligent Player Care program, a joint venture of iView Systems and the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation (SGC), has developed a new approach to responsible gaming that offers a comprehensive, integrated risk management tool that addresses the limitations of current responsible gaming practices. The iCare program integrates responsible gaming into normal Casino operations, ensuring that it becomes part of a corporation’s strategic plan and part of good customer service.

The iCare system builds on current responsible gaming practices such as teaching staff to identify signs of high risk behaviour and providing players with pamphlets or referrals to counseling and other community resources. iCare offers two revolutionary features:

1) The ability to capture and interpret data from the operator’s casino management system and identify players at risk;
2) A management system that can notify operators when players are in the casino, provide casino staff with information about the player’s behaviour and the appropriate interaction, while delivering a tracking module to document interactions between staff and players.

Problem gambling is widely recognized as the biggest risk that faces the gaming industry today. With insurance companies no longer willing to insure operators for problem gambling related claims, operators must address their duty of care to manage risk. The iCare program raises the bar for responsible gaming and enables operators to manage this risk in a cost effective manner.

The iCare system consists of iGMind(tm) (Intelligent Gaming Measurement Index) which generates and tracks player risk indices. The iGMind algorithm is integrated into the iGap(tm) (Intelligent Gaming Analysis Platform), which provides notification of players’ presence in the Casino, appropriate staff interactions, and a tracking system.

These programs are integrated with iView’s iTrak Incident Reporting and Risk Management System as well as the iGWatch Facial Recognition System, which are widely deployed casino systems around the world. This comprehensive approach provides operators with a total Casino Management System ranging from enforcement of banned patrons to a proactive approach to dealing with players at risk.

The iCare system is accompanied by iCare staff training which incorporates responsible gaming as part of good customer service, makes customer safety the first priority, and provides staff with the confidence to be able to identify and assist players who are at risk.

About the iCare Program
The iCare Program delivers a comprehensive responsible gaming solution. The program offers a cohesive suite of products and services that enable the introduction of a preventative based responsible gaming environment.

Consistency combined with an advanced set of monitoring and measurement tools, the iGap platform enables casino operators to continuously measure, evaluate and improve their approach to problem gambling.

The iCare program is based on the concept that with expanded gaming around the world, to be sustainable, the gaming industry must maintain players for life.
